HoYoverse has launched a major update for Zenless Zone Zero — Version 2.6 “Encore for an Old Dream” — on February 6, 2026, introducing a range of new content, including the highly anticipated debut of the idol group Angels of Delusion, alongside fresh events and rewards.
In this update, players return to Sixth Street in New Eridu amidst festive celebrations for Gilded Carrot Day, as the city glows with lights and joyful atmosphere. Despite the festivities, tension looms with ongoing threats from Hollows. Version 2.6 also expands the storyline with urgent missions involving the Phaethon siblings and Jane Doe.
Angels of Delusion Make Their Stage Debut
The centerpiece of this update is the introduction of Angels of Delusion, an idol group that also serves as playable agents in battle. The first two members featured in Version 2.6 are:
- Sunna: An S-Rank Physical Support agent who boosts Attack and Anomaly teammates. Accompanied by Bubblegum, she marks enemies with Cat’s Gaze, triggering blasts that deal damage and attack buffs to the entire squad. Her Ultimate unleashes a powerful strike and triggers Quick Assist, bringing allies swiftly into combat.
- Aria: The lead vocalist and Ether Anomaly agent with dual combat forms — a construct state and an idol projection — specializing in high burst damage against enemies afflicted with Attribute Anomalies. She is supported by Bangboo Biggest Fan, who restores HP and can increase Attack when at least two Angels of Delusion members are deployed together.
Both characters also receive new outfits, enhancing their visual appeal in battle.
Main Event: A Harmony of Delusions
Version 2.6 also introduces the major event “A Harmony of Delusions”, where players act as backstage staff helping Angels of Delusion manage training, social media tasks, and other activities through rhythm-based gameplay. This event includes new maps and mechanics within the expanded Marcel Adventure.
Additionally, Hollow Zero mode receives new content through Operation Matrix, rotating themed stages weekly and introducing unique game mechanics. Teams in this mode consist of three Primary agents, one Bangboo, and one Auxiliary agent, along with new Resonia and agent-specific Gears that add deeper strategy layers.
Rewards and Bonuses
Version 2.6 offers exciting rewards, including a chance to collect up to 4 billion Polychrome through login bonuses and daily activities. Limited-time lucky draws and login campaigns provide opportunities to earn rare items and substantial loot.
Returning S-Rank Agents like Yixuan and Yuzuha will also appear via rerun banners, giving players another opportunity to recruit favorite agents from previous patches.
This update is available across major platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, iOS, and Android starting February 6, 2026.
